772 Big Orange Cat

Some time ago, I noticed a big orange cat hanging around my home. My own cat, Mulder, noticed this cat as well. A couple of weeks ago, they made contact through a window, and both felines broke out in screaming wails. It's clear that the two of them won't get along. Several months ago, I determined that the big orange cat was a stray. He or she has no collar. It's fat, and appears fairly well-fed; perhaps I'm mistaking pregnancy for a fair share of meals. Big Orange is also incredibly friendly, and has obviously been a domesticated cat who belonged to someone at some point, as it's used to humans. It seems obvious that no one owns Big Orange now, yet it constantly approaches me and has been visiting me multiple times each night since I've begun putting out cat food. I suspect that Big Orange was left behind when someone in the neighborhood either moved out or was foreclosed upon. Tonight is the first night in quite some time that I haven't seen Big Orange. I put food out on Tuesday night and it was eaten right up. I put food out this evening and it hasn't been touched. Today we had an ice/snow storm move through, and it worries me that perhaps Big Orange has not made it.
