Photographs have an amazing way of capturing a moment, of evoking emotion, of playing out a scenario for which you couldn't be present. It's not very often that a picture makes me sad, what with the advent of websites dedicated to posting funny snapshots. And it's been almost two years since a photo actually brought me to tears. But this series of images comes close.
